INDIE JOURNAL & PUNE COLLECTIVE, PRESENT

Media Conclave 2024

21 December 2024

Dnyanjyoti Savitribai Phule Auditorium
Gunj Peth, Pune

About the Event

Though India’s media is diverse and plural, it is undergoing an unprecedented crisis of trust, method, ethics, business and existence itself. With the increasing involvement of corporate styles of management and function and the drastic shift in the nature of the profession, it becomes necessary for the stakeholders of the media to take a pause, look around and then introspect about where it stands at the moment.

Major centres like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai etc, see these discussions happening on a regular basis. But Maharashtra, one of the most important landscapes in India, hardly sees such events. We propose to break that silence and introduce an introspective platform for Maharashtra and its vibrant media and people.

By participating in this event, individuals can expect to enhance their knowledge, gain a deeper understanding of the current state of the media industry in India, and contribute to meaningful conversations that can shape the future of media in Maharashtra. Additionally, networking opportunities with industry experts and peers can provide valuable connections and insights for professional growth.

About Indie Journal

Indie Journal is a news organisation, with staunch belief in principles, ethics and structures of journalistic integrity. We are a group of journalists who are passionate about their faith in the importance and value of journalism. The purpose of journalism, is thus, to give voice to the voiceless, not amplify the voices who already have enough to say. Indie Journal, is our attempt to bring true balance to journalism, by standing for the values and issues that are the very core of true democracy.
